A/S Cēsu alus is introducing a product unseen in Latvian market – a beer “Cēsu dry” filled in to glass bottle with an original design.

“Cēsu dry” is a light and dry beer. In comparison with other lager beers the fermenting process of dry beer is longer and it ensures that almost all the sugar contained is transformed into alcohol. This beer is refreshing and without a lingering aftertaste, these qualities make it great for quenching one’s thirst in hot weather or after physical activities.

As the beer is filled in clear glass bottles, the producer uses a special type of hops that ensures that warmth and light don’t make the beer lose its characteristic taste and aroma.

The new beer is sold in bottles with an original design; they are created with not only a modern and aesthetic look in mind but with highlighting the functionality also. Each bottle has a screw cap, but the bottom part is fitted with an indentation for opening such caps, thereby one bottle can be opened using another.

“Cēsu dry” is an up-to-date product, which will enable you to enjoy traditional values in a modern form. The functional form of the bottle not only enables one to fully taste each nuance in this new variety but also gives a revolutionary answer to the old question about which is the most handy way to open bottles”, says Eva Sietiņsone, Chairman of the Board of A/S Cēsu alus.

People in other parts of the world started to produce dry beer in the second part of last century – Japan is considered to be its country of origin. The initial target audience of dry beer were people suffering form diabetes, because all sugar contained during the production process is transformed into alcohol. Nonetheless, dry beer due to its specific taste and great refreshing ability, soon became popular and in demand by the widest groups of consumers – in Japan it still is the unrivalled leader among popular beer types. Dry beer was not available in Latvia until now – A/S Cēsu alus is the first company to offer it to Latvian consumers.

Total investments into creating this new beer exceed 100 thousand lats.

“Cēsu dry” is filled in 0,5 l bottles, alcoholic strength – 5% vol.
