JSC Cēsu alus is the first and only manufacturer of beverages in the Baltic States that has received a world-class quality certificate for canned beverages.
Upon successful implementation of a complex quality audit, in December 2009, JSC Cēsu alus received the highest level grade of one of the strictest voluntary food safety and quality management standards in the world – the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.
Production safety and continuous quality is the priority of the JSC Cēsu alus manufacturing process. Already in 2006, JSC Cēsu alus was the first food manufacturing company in Latvia to acquire the BRC certificate, becoming the flagman of good food production practice in the country. This year, the standard requirements of BRC have been adjusted to apply to canned production as well.
“This certificate is an obvious step towards company development – the most modern and powerful canning line among the Baltic States is operating in the JSC Cēsu alus plant and the company’s canned production is taking stable lead positions in the beverage market. The fact that product quality corresponds to the highest level is not surprising. We are truly pleased that the international quality inspection institution Latsert has approved the quality provision investment of precisely JSC Cēsu alus, issuing the only BRC certificate in the entire Baltic region,” says JSC Cēsu alus Quality Manager Ineta Jonase.
The highest level quality certificate BRC in the global food market is considered to be a benchmark of good food production practice. The received quality certificate allows for the expansion of JSC Cēsu alus production quality and reputation because clients of the largest sales networks around the world, as well as in Latvia, highly evaluate this standard, which guarantees the high quality of the production, its harmlessness and safety for the customer.
The British Retail Consortium (BRC) internationally approved standard BRC Global Standard – Food stipulates the requirements for food production companies that deliver their production to sales networks and other companies.
