Cēsu alus receives a prize for excellent investment in the facilitation of social dialogue

Eva Sietiņsone – Zatlere, Managing director of JSC Cēsu alus, has received the prize for the cooperation partner of the Free Trade Union Confederation of Latvia (LBAS), the large acorn, for years of cooperation with the Trade Union and excellent investment in the development of social dialogue.

The prize was presented during the partnership event Cooperation Partner devoted to the 25th anniversary of LBAS, where the most outstanding cooperation partners of LBAS and its member organisations that have proven themselves over 25 years were awarded.

Pēteris Krīgers, Chairman of LBAS: “The prize is gratitude for cooperation to the most outstanding employees, for those who understand that good social dialogue increases work productivity and enhances contribution to the national economy, development of the company, and the welfare of its employees. Today when employment relations are becoming more flexible and are increasingly difficult to include in the frame of laws, communication is first place: social dialogue between the employee, the employer, and its result, the collective employment agreement. This demonstrates that the role and challenges of the Trade Union are even increasing.”

Input in forming social dialogue with employees is effected in cooperation with the Trade Union, which has been operating at Cēsu alus brewery for decades. A mutually binding Collective Agreement is revised on a regular basis and provides various additional benefits for employees. The company is investing a lot in the personnel development as well: training tailored to individual development goals, satisfaction study, stress and bureaucracy minimisation project, employee manual, and annual knowledge improvement master classes are long-term projects that give employees the feeling of being valued in this company and motivated to attain the Staff Vision of Cēsu alus,which states that Employees truly want to achieve and are achieving outstanding results.
