Beer compatibility with food

DARK BEER AND STOUT
(DARK BEER AND STOUT)

This beer has a bitter and roasted aftertaste, but stouts may even have a chocolate and coffee aftertaste. This variety of beer goes great together with smoked and grilled meat, steaks, as well as oysters.

ALE
(ALE)

When drinking ales the bitterness can be felt in their aroma, as well as the first sip – it is accompanied by smoky bitterness and various fruit notes. Ales are meant to be enjoyed slowly together with a grilled and peppered steak, chicken or barbecued meat.

WHITE BEER OR WHEAT BEER

A soft and fresh beer with a characteristic wheat flavour and nuances of lemon, coriander and orange. This beer is best suited for light meals – salads, fish and seafood, steaks, as well as oysters.

LIGHT BEER OR BEER DRINKS

Light beer is great for quenching one’s thirst, and the taste of hops can be felt to a minimum extent in it. It goes great together with citrus fruits, which is why they are often added to the beer. Light beer is also used to make cocktails.

SPECIALITY BEER

When brewing speciality beers, the usual ingredients – malt, hops, and water – are accompanied by fruit and berry juices, buckwheat, and ginger. It can be combined with desserts, as well as spicy and sweet dishes.

AMBER LAGER
(AMBER LAGER)

This beer is made according to the classic light beer technology, but a small amount of roasted malt is also used, thus forming a caramel flavour. It goes together with spicy foods prepared on the grill, especially dishes with chili in them.
