In contributing to the development of the beer enjoyment culture, the beer brewery Cēsu alus invites you to an educational beer degustation cycle “Beer Master-Class” that hasn’t previously been experienced in Latvia. Within the framework of this cycle, internationally recognised experts provide their view on the world’s beer brewing and enjoyment traditions, educating about their origin and significance to culture.
On 29 May at 16.00, the Beer Master-Class “Beer Culture of England” is to take place in the Restaurant “Fabrika” in devotion to the beer secrets of England. The lecturer of the event will be Roger Protz – a world renowned and awarded beer taster, as well as the author of several books, including the “World Guide to Beer”.
“In Latvia, beer has been an integral part of culture and Latvian identity for a long time; therefore, we, as one of the most remarkable representatives of the beer industry, feel a responsibility and obligation to contribute to the enrichment of this culture. Through the cycle of several educational events we want to introduce our Latvian beer lovers to the diversity of the world of beer and provide insight into beer degustation secrets, by revealing the refinement and nuances of beer culture. We hope that the “Beer Master-Class” will establish a new standard and tradition in beer discovery and degustation,”emphasises Eva Sietiņsone-Zatlere, Chairman of the Cēsu alus Board.
The aim of the educational event cycle “Beer Master-Class” is to introduce beer lovers and a wider part of Latvian society to beer brewery and enjoyment traditions of different regions of the world. These events also include the degustation of beer brands that are specific and traditional for these regions.
The first event in relation to the beer culture of North America took place within the event cycle of 2013, which was exclusively available for food and beverage gourmands, media representatives, as well as sommeliers, allowing them to experience the diversity and supreme culture of the world of beer. The Beer-Master Class is a long-term event cycle. During the cycle of events, society will also be introduced to French, Belgian, Irish and Czech beer culture, and the lecturers of each master-class will be excellent, internationally recognised experts in the particular beer region.
