Cēsu alus launches an interactive campaign by involving beer lovers in the creation of can designs

Cēsu alus launches an interactive campaign within the framework of which consumers can participate in the creation of the Cēsu Premium image, making a contribution to the development of the Latvian beer package design. The participants of the competition have the opportunity to create a 1000 euro worth beer can design, which will be given to manufacturing and will already be on the market this year.

The brewery Cēsu alus creates a unique Cēsu Premium National Edition can series – a dedication to characteristic values typical of Latvia,events and things that inspire us in our land. Cēsu alus initiated the ­competition in January 2, and invites everyone to become an author of one can design.

Beginning from January 2 until January 29, every beer lover has an opportunity to create and submit their own design variant on the website, which would fit in Cēsu Premium National Edition series that will consist of several different beer can designs.

Cēsu alus Head of the Marketing Department Inese Kublicka: “Currently we are working on several designs of can series, but one will be chosen by competition, thus giving the opportunity to every beer lover to create their own design version. In 2011, when we initiated the competition of beer can designs by involving consumers, it received a great response – 197 designs were submitted for the competition, whereas more than 23 thousand people took part in voting for the most successful work.”

Starting from February 1, everyone will be able to participate in voting for the most successful design; on February 9, the winner of the competition will be announced, who will receive 1000 euro as a main prize and his / her created design will be submitted to manufacturing. The new Cēsu Premium National Edition can series will be available at the Latvian department stores this year.

Since 2006, Cēsu alus offers Cēsu Premium cans each year in Limited Edition series – with a special design and in a limited amount. Up to now there have been the followingCēsu Premium can series: with a design created by new artists, with a photo design, the first beer cans in Latvia with a relief design surface and ­last year – the series inspired by rock music.

This year it will be the Cēsu Premium National Edition can series, portraying things of national pride, values, events and people in its design.
