Cēsu Premium is the strongest brand of Cēsu alus, since 1999 it’s been available on the Latvian beer market and in recent years has become the bestselling beer brand in Latvia. Since its inception eighteen years ago Cēsu Premium has gone through various changes, and this year, in 2017, Cēsu Premium is being filled into a new design pint bottle. By releasing pint cans in 2009 and pint glass bottles in 2012, Cēsu alus was the first brewery to introduce the pint format into the Latvian beer market, and Cēsu Premium was the first beer brand in Latvia that was available in pints both in cans and glass bottles.

Researching trends in the beer sphere worldwide, we have created a new design pint bottle that will surprise beer lovers with its new, modern, Premium class and visually pleasing form and design. Beer in glass bottles has always been popular and in average forms 26% of the packaging segment of the general Latvian beer market; in summer months it rises up to 30%. Developing the Cēsu Premium brand, the Latvian beer culture and the packaging segment of the beer market, another innovation has been created – Cēsu Premium filled in a new design pint bottle. The design of the bottle has been developed especially for Cēsu alus, furthermore the new bottle can be returned to bottle collecting points. Following trends in the world, the new design of Cēsu Premium includes foil for the neck of the bottle- this trend is not used that often in the Latvian beer market. The foil for the bottle necks is not only an aspect of the new design, it also ensures hygienic use of the packaging.
“World class move!” – the new slogan of the Cēsu Premium marketing campaign. It characterizes both the world Premium class level of the beer and the new, world class design of the pint bottle that has been made especially for Cēsu alus. Investments for creating the new design- 200 000 euro.
