When casting votes the following criteria were considered: the employer’s investment in providing vacancies, observing employment rights, improving the working conditions for the employees, providing appropriate social protection for the employees, maintaining dialogue with employees and trade unions that represent them, promoting signing of a collective labour contract, providing opportunities for the employees to develop and improve their knowledge.
Chairman of JSC “Cēsu alus” Board Eva Sietiņsone – Zatlere expresses her gratitude to the company employees for their high regard, emphasizing how important it is that everyone is looking in the same direction: “I am proud that the company management and the trade union of the workers have managed to create cooperation that is of mutual benefit. The company has experienced lean periods and prosperous periods, but we are working together, based on understanding – no employee has been fired, and no salaries have been decreased, but the trade union has showed its understanding of why during the lean times the management is not able to provide everything, it originally planned.”

Chairman of Free Trade Union Federation of Latvia Pēteris Krīgers: “There is no doubt that the employees have cast their votes – with their votes they have shown that they do trust the policy that the company has created, they trust the collective labour contract, which has been developed wisely and can identify the actual benefits.”
