On February 3rd, the winners of the “Latvian Beer Award 2017” were awarded during the ceremony in the renovated VEF Culture Palace in Riga. This year, similarly to previous years, the joint stock company “Cēsu alus” received awards in several nominations:

• The largest increase in beer sales in the HoReCa segment;
• The largest increase in the beer export market;
• The most environmentally friendly and socially responsible brewer.

The “Latvian Beer Award” is the most significant annual event for Latvian breweries. The event is organised by the Beer, kvass and malt drinks association “Alus brālība” and the Latvian Brewers Union. The purpose of the “Latvian Beer Award” is to honour the beer industry professionals, as well as to promote the traditions of the development of beer production and its consumption, to popularise the contribution of the sector to the growth of the country’s economic life and to promote the cooperation among breweries.
