On April 28, 2019 the new season of Latvia’s State Forest Mountain Bike Marathon will open with the first stage of the race Valmiera-Cēsis. This year, the official sponsor of the water supply for the event is the natural spring water Lielbāta. As Cēsu alus supports active and healthy lifestyle, the company will provide the participants of the race with water supply throughout the whole season with more than 20,000 litres of high quality spring water from Lielbāta donated to the cause.
Agita Kārkliņa, Cēsu alus Communication Manager: “We all know the importance of water consumption for the human body, especially if one pursues an active lifestyle. While taking care of the well-being of the participants, we will ensure that their bodies are well hydrated both during the race and at the finish with distributing Lielbāta Sport spring water bottles. We wish a successful season to all cyclists, especially to the participants of Lielbāta Folk Distance, whose numbers are growing each year!”
The initiator and organizer of the Latvia’s State Forest Mountain Bike Marathon Igo Japiņš: “Our main priority when organizing such events is the well-being and comfort of the participants, and water is one of the most important things a participant would appreciate on the track as well as after the finish. We are glad that every participant of the race will have the opportunity to quench their thirst with water from the clear spring of Lielbāta, and at the same time we are delighted that from now on our public ride will carry the name of Lielbāta Folk Distance.”
The source of Lielbāta water is the clear water of Lielbāta. Located in the municipality of Vaiņode (Kurzeme), Lielbāta is the largest clear water spring in Latvia. The biologically active substances of the water will ensure better results for the participants, as well as this year, the design of Lielbāta Sport water bottles has been changed to be better suited for active lifestyle enthusiasts.
