In the last two years since a broader selection of non-alcoholic beers has appeared in the beer market of Latvia, the market share has almost doubled – in 2018 the non-alcoholic beer market share has increased by 44%, reaching 1.3 million litres. The increasing sales confirm that the non-alcoholic beer market is developing and that consumers are interested in these products.
In regard to these trends of market development, Cēsu alus has extended the range of non-alcoholic beverages introducing Cēsu Premium non-alcoholic beer with cherry and lemon-lime juice. Cēsu Premium non-alcoholic beer is made using only high-quality raw materials and the most advanced beer brewing technologies that allow one to preserve the authentic taste of beer. This is a crucial criterion for consumers when choosing to enjoy non-alcoholic beer.
Eva Sietiņsone, the Chair of the Board of Cēsu alus: “In the segment of canned beer, Cēsu Premium has been the best-selling beer so far and holds 15% of the non-alcoholic beer market. The advantage of our non-alcoholic beer is its quality of taste, as well as the convenient packaging, which is especially popular among beer lovers. As there is a demand in the market for beer with added juice, we also wanted to contribute with an alternative to the classical non-alcoholic beer, thus creating two new juicy and refreshing flavours – Cēsu Premium cherry and Cēsu Premium lemon-lime non-alcoholic beer. ”
The growth of the non-alcoholic beer market is influenced by several factors. Firstly, the offer of non-alcoholic beer has increased and expanded and significant investments have been made in the recent years in order to promote non-alcoholic beer. Secondly, non-alcoholic beer is a good alternative for people who have decided to refuse drinking alcohol in a particular situation or are following a healthy lifestyle. And thirdly, the emergence of high-quality non-alcoholic beer in the market has reduced the stereotypes that non-alcoholic beer lacks the authentic taste of beer.
